Boxing ring lighting

- Regular price€2.490,00

Key facts: gala lighting mounted on the ring itself, with no truss and no rigging point in the roof. The set includes 4 corner light towers that clamp onto Ø 16 cm / 6.3 in corner posts and carry 8 weatherproof 5500K LED floodlights, two per corner, about 3.5 m / 11 ft 6 in above the canvas, aimed at the centre. Power cables and plug supplied, compliant with European standards. Tower colour and logo can be customised. €2,490 for the set, standard delivery included.
In June 1894, to film the Leonard–Cushing fight in his West Orange studio, Thomas Edison's crew waited several days for clear skies: the studio worked on natural light alone. These 5500K LED floodlights, the colour temperature of daylight, bring that light to the ring at any hour, from all four corners.
How the light towers light the ring
Each tower runs alongside a corner post, clamped to it, then rises above the ropes and bends in over the fighting area. Its two LED floodlights sit about 3.5 m / 11 ft 6 in above the canvas, aimed at the centre. With all four corners fitted, eight beams converge on the fighting area: light reaches the boxers, the referee, the judges and the crowd from every side at once.
A 5500 K colour temperature matches the “daylight” white balance preset on cameras and smartphones. It is the figure to work with for a filmed fight night, a video shoot or a live stream.
Which rings does this set fit?
The clamps are sized for the Ø 16 cm / 6.3 in corner posts of the Esprit Boxe rings built to take lighting: the competition boxing ring, the Olympic boxing ring and the lit competition boxing ring ordered without its towers. The set fits a new ring just as well as one already in use in your gym.
For a ring from another maker, send the diameter and height of your corner posts, the platform height and a photo of one corner to info@aspritboxe.com: we confirm the clamps fit before you order. If your ring is not ordered yet, the “With 4 light towers” option on the lit competition ring page groups both into a single order at the best rate.
What ceiling height do you need?
Add your platform height to the 3.5 m / 11 ft 6 in of the floodlights. On a 100 cm / 3 ft 3 in platform, the floodlights sit about 4.5 m / 14 ft 9 in off the floor: allow at least 5 m / 16 ft 5 in of clear height. Nothing hangs from the ceiling, since all the lighting rests on the corner posts: a sports hall, a function room or an exhibition space works as it is.
Which events is it for?
Fight nights and boxing galas, regional championships, filmed bouts, live-streamed cards, and club gyms that want the ring to stand out every day. The lighting comes down and goes up with the ring: at a new venue, the floodlights take the same position at all four corners.
The set is the lighting only, ring not included. Plan mains power near the ring corners and have the connection checked by your electrician for any venue open to the public.

Frequently asked questions
How do you light a boxing ring for a live stream?
With 5500 K light, close to daylight, coming from several angles. That is what the 8 floodlights in this set deliver, aimed at the centre from all four corners. Set your cameras' white balance to “daylight” or 5500 K, and keep the hall lighting at the same colour temperature for a consistent picture.
Can you add lights to an existing boxing ring?
Yes. The towers clamp onto Ø 16 cm / 6.3 in corner posts already in place, with no need to take the ring down or drill into the ceiling. They are designed for Esprit Boxe competition, Olympic and lit competition rings. For another ring, send the post diameter and height with a photo of one corner: we confirm the fit before you order.
How high does the ceiling need to be for a lit boxing ring?
The floodlights top out about 3.5 m / 11 ft 6 in above the canvas. On a 100 cm / 3 ft 3 in platform, that puts them around 4.5 m / 14 ft 9 in off the floor: allow at least 5 m / 16 ft 5 in of clear height. The ceiling carries no load, everything rests on the corner posts.
How do boxing ring lights get their power?
The towers come with their power cables and plug, compliant with European standards. Plan wall sockets or suitable extension leads near the ring corners, and have an electrician check the connection in any venue open to the public. For a venue outside Europe, ask us before ordering so we can confirm the voltage and plug type.
Can the light towers match our club colours?
Yes. The structure comes in the colour of your choice, as well as the standard red, blue and two neutrals matching the corners, and your logo can be printed on the towers. Send your colours and logo to info@aspritboxe.com with your order.
